Inspiration FM Mourns Tosyn Bucknor As Over Two Thousand Names Have Signed Her Condolence Register

PublishedBy: in Celebrity GistNovember 24, 2018

It’s been four days but it hasn’t got any less painful or easier to process that Tosyn Bucknor is dead. Her sudden death on Monday night from sickle cell complications stunned not only her millions of fans but particularly staffers of Inspiration FM, the radio station where she worked at.

In the hours after her death was announced, this writer paid a visit to the radio station and reported that there was a spell of sombre inactivity. At the time, a condolence register was yet to be opened. By today, however, more than two thousand names have signed the condolence register which was opened after we left the premises on Tuesday.

General Manager Azubike Osumili who spoke to us said the station’s management and staff were still reeling from the loss of one of theirs.

“Immediately we got the news, more than twenty of her colleagues; including myself and top management went to the home to condole with her family,” he revealed. “Inspiration FM is a family and each one of us feels the loss of our sister so painfully. However, we have chosen to celebrate her life as she was a shining star.”

As of now, there’s a banner that bears Tosyn’s smiling face; the picture all Nigerians have of her. In her lifetime, she was an effervescent person who was bubbly at all times. The station also published on its Instagram page that she remained vibrant on what happened to be her last day at work.

In addition, the programme schedule has been altered to pay homage to her.

“We have been paying tributes to the life and times of Tosin by altering programming and changing our music rotation to honour her.”
